Tina and Amanda

Tina Louise was an American singer, actress, and writer who is best recognized as Ginger Grant from the TV show Gilligan's Island. Her acting career began as a stage artist during the 1950s starting by performing in Two's Company a musical by Bettle Davis. Later, in 1956, she got her first big break with a performance on Broadway with Li'l Abner. Her album, It's Too Late for Tina that same year. Louise started with her Hollywood career in 1958, when she played Griselda Walden in God's Little Acre, a drama film. The film was a massive success, and Louise earned an award called the Golden Globe Award for the New Star of the Years category. At the time, she joined the Actors Studio in New York and developed her association to Lee Strasberg as his student. The actress joined CBS in 1964 as Ginger Grant. Louise was able to balance her work in between Broadway television and Hollywood playing more serious roles as opposed to her perception of herself as a glamorous woman. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. She has also appeared in SG-1 as well as Helen Magnus, but in the last few years she's earned a reputation as a producer on a variety of popular TV shows like Supernatural. Her birth date was 28 August 1965, in Essex. As a young girl, 3, her family moved her to Toronto in Canada where she spent her childhood. Her home was in Vancouver after she was selected for the role of Samantha Carter.
