Ina Garten is well-known American cookery book author and Emmy award winning host of Food Networks current oldest show Barefoot Contessa that debuted in 2002. It has since aired 27 seasons till 2020. Ina began her career by working with the White House, writing the nuclear energy budget, as well as other policy papers. The first time she was able to find her profession interesting and stimulating after which she resigned and purchased a quaint market for specialty foods named Barefoot Contessa. It took her 18 years to make the shop extremely popular prior to selling it off before putting pen to paper to start her first book. There were other cookbooks to follow, as magazines too. Her Food Network TV show also made its debut, and was a huge success. She also sells a range of cooking and food items to storage and equipment. Ina never went to a cookery school nor did she work in an establishment. Ina is completely self-taught. Her name is ascribed to her easy approach to cooking as well as her easy approach to entertainment. Some of her best known recipes are Skillet-Roasted Lemon Chicken Beatty's Chocolate Cake Mac and Cheese Beef Bourguignon Balsamic-Roasted Brussels Sprouts and Lemon Bars.
