Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez, a Mexican-American actor and singer is extremely well-known. In her early years Sara was targeted for racial discrimination by American citizens of all races. After she participated in school contests and received the highest praise for her singing at the age of 9, the girl began to gain confidence. The experience not only boosted confidence in herself, but it also changed her career ambition. She attended New York's Julliard School at the age of 22. In 1993, she made her Broadway debut in Paul Simon's The Capeman. Her first film was titled You've got Mail. The character in The Lady of The Lake was her greatest success, and earned an award for her performance, an award called the Tony Award in addition to critical acclaim for her role. Her fame grew by appearing on Grey's Anatomy on ABC as Dr. Callie Torres. An accomplished singer and producer, she's produced songs as well as an extended work. Also, she is an activist and works extensively to promote LGBT rights.
